A Big Ugly Mother

As the song says, "There are two kinds of mothers." This is the big ugly kind, my ol' buddy, Tom.

The young mothers

Here are the young mothers on Mothers' Day. Kristen holding Jennie and trying to sweet talk her into something. Jennie appears to be thinking about it but I don'tthink she's buying it.

Danielle holding Gracie and feeding her. Gracie seems to be content.

Mothers' Day at the Nicholson's

Betty and I went to Kristen and Barry's for Mothers' Day along with Jay and Danielle and the girls. Here are photos of Betty and Jennie, Betty and Gracie and Jade by herself. Kristen and Barry cooked and the rest of us had a good time. Woo hoo! Ain't life great??!!

Whoa! Is this Chuck?

Charles Arthur Cathers, II, aka Chuckie, has had a growth removed from his head, namely, about three pounds of hair including his beard. He looks like a new man. Hope Cindy doesn't throw him out. Here are some before and after photos. (I didn't have time to look for a picture with his hair let down or a side view.)

Mothers' Day Flowers

Kim, Brian and the girls sent Betty flowers for Mothers' Day. Here she is holding them with a big ol' smile on her face. Momma's just love getting flowers.

Rod Stewart at JazzFest

Here's our view of the stage with Rod Stewart's band playing. I think he is on stage wearing a black shirt.

New Orleans Jazz and Heritage and Jazz Festival

On April 28, Betty, Barrya and I went to the JazzFest at the New Orleans Fairground. To say the least, it was crowded. Here are a couple of pictures of Betty and me and Barry as we sat waiting for Rod Stewart to perform. We were only about a quarter of a mile from the stage as the crow flies. The sound system was pretty good, though, and we could hear everything pretty well.

Gracie and Jay

Kristen thinks Gracie looks like Jay when he was a child. Here are a couple of pictures of him at age seven and a half months months and at one year and a photo of Gracie at age four months. What do you think?

Red? Why not purple?

My GAWD! What was she thinking? Now I could understand if she did it in that horrible, god-awful LSU(cks)-purple, but Red? I understand that it has been changed back to a more normal color. One can hope.

Naomi and Rickie

My sister Naomi and brother-in-law Rickie. I had the honor of walking her down the aisle way back in 1970. She, too, is as a sweet soul as you will ever know.

Jim, Syble and me

Herfe are a couple of pictures of my sister-in-law and brother-in-law and me at Rhonda's wedding. I had the honor of walking her down the aisle when she and Jim were married almost 40 years ago. A sweeter soul never lived.

Mom's gang

Here's Mom and her gang: A.B., Marie, Mom, Naomi, Mary and me.

Satin Gets a Tat

Showing Off the Wedding Garb

First comes the Wedding Gown - rear and front.

Next, the rented tuxedo.

How'd they Do That?

John is tall. Rhonda is not tall. How'd they do that kiss?

Look below.

Clever, huh?

The Wedding Party

Here are the females and the males who were in the wedding party. As you can see, John is tall (6'10").
