Mothers' Day at the Nicholson's

Betty and I went to Kristen and Barry's for Mothers' Day along with Jay and Danielle and the girls. Here are photos of Betty and Jennie, Betty and Gracie and Jade by herself. Kristen and Barry cooked and the rest of us had a good time. Woo hoo! Ain't life great??!!

Whoa! Is this Chuck?

Charles Arthur Cathers, II, aka Chuckie, has had a growth removed from his head, namely, about three pounds of hair including his beard. He looks like a new man. Hope Cindy doesn't throw him out. New Orleans Jazz and Heritage and Jazz Festival

On April 28, Betty, Barrya and I went to the JazzFest at the New Orleans Fairground. To say the least, it was crowded. Here are a couple of pictures of Betty and me and Barry as we sat waiting for Rod Stewart to perform. We were only about a quarter of a mile from the stage as the crow flies. The sound system was pretty good, though, and we could hear everything pretty well.

Gracie and Jay

Kristen thinks Gracie looks like Jay when he was a child. Here are a couple of pictures of him at age seven and a half months months and at one year and a photo of Gracie at age four months. What do you think?

Red? Why not purple?

My GAWD! What was she thinking? Now I could understand if she did it in that horrible, god-awful LSU(cks)-purple, but Red? I understand that it has been changed back to a more normal color. One can hope.

Gracie at Four Months

Betty's grandaughter Gracie was four months old on April 21, 2007. Here are a couple of pictures taken over the weekend. The first is Gracie in her little bouncy thingy with a big smile on her face (where else would it be?), and one of Gracie and Daddy Jay at a restaurant and oyster bar on Saturday evening. I think she's eyeballing Jay's stuffed crab legs. What do you think?

Gracie at Four Months

This past weekend, Betty and I went to Mississippi to visit with Jay, Danielle, Jade and Gracie. Gracie was four months old on Apil 21. She has two teeth already. She seems to be a happy baby because she smiles a lot and does not cry very much at all. Here are two pictures. One of Betty and Gracie and one of Jade and Gracie.

My sister Naomi and brother-in-law Rickie. I had the honor of walking her down the aisle way back in 1970. She, too, is as a sweet soul as you will ever know.
