Playing Cornhole in 2005

Playing cornhole at the faimily reunion in 2005. Evidently, cornhole is a big thing in Ohio. It is similar to pitching horse shoes except you throw bags of corn and try to get them to fall through a hole instead of trying to ring a stake. Three points for a hole and one point for the bag closest to the hole .

 

Omi and Rickie's Brood

Here are a couple of pictures of my baby sister and her clan. The top one is of her and her husband, Naomi Margaret Cathers Rouse and Rickie Ray Rouse.
This bottom picture is the whole gang. The back row Kendall Rouse, her mother, Stephanie Rouse, Brandi Greathouse, Abbigail Rouse, Rickie Rouse, Sr., Rhonda Greathouse (Brandi's mother), Rickie Rouse, II (father of Abbigail and Kendal) and Naomi Cathers Rouse, the matron of the clan.

Here's a photo of Betty with Savannah Jane, Abbigale Grace and Jennie Lane. This was taken Mothers' Day. Can't get much better than having three granddaughters on your special day unless it's having all four.

The Jay Reeds

Jay, Danielle and Jade came for a vist this weekend. Here's a picture of the happy couple and one of Jade posing in front of the bananna plants (aka weed garden). We had a good visit, at least I think we did.
 

The Freeman' new house

Betty and I made a visit to the Freemans' new house today to see the progress. The rear wall is totally bricked as is one side. The front and other side are on the way. All the brick should be laid nad everything cleaned up by the end of the week.

Art and Ron Gaiser

Art with my friend Ron Gaiser at the Alamo. He was wearing his usual Art face with a happy smile. Ron was our tour guide in San Antonio. We spent the night with Ron and Bobbette. Art raved about their hospitality and friendliness.

Today, May 6, 2006, is the 66th anniversary of my brother Art's birth. As you know, we lost him on March 8, 2006. He is missed by all who knew him. In his remembrance, I plan on posting several pictures of him over the next few days. I hope that this will help ease the pain of losing him.
