Newlyweds

On December 30, 2005, I attended the wedding of Jessamye Tubbs and Russel Charette in Port Allen, La. Jessamye is the daughter of my old friends Elisa and Keith Tubbs. Everyone had a great time. Plenty of food and music.

When you step outside the house now yu hear the sounds of hammers and airguns popping all around as roofers get busy replacing the damaged roofs in the neighborhood. It's been four months and there are still many houses with the blue FEMA roofs. FEMA trailers are still popping up here and there in the area, too.

Dana Myrl Boudreaux, my beautiful granddaughter

This is Dana Myrl, my lovely, bright grand daughter. She was visiting from Florida and got caught by Hurrican Cindy so she had to cme visit me.

Two LSU freaks. I don't know where I went wrong. For some reason these two are nuts about the LSU football team. I'm just glad they don't have children to corrupt. Go TULANE. 

Lisa Wilson-Cathers, mother of Owen and Morgan

This is poor Lisa, married to Bobby and the mother of Owen and Morgan. Some folks have more to bear than others. You have to admit it, though, she makes pretty babies.

This strange looking guy is my son, the father of the grandsons and granddaughter. How could you not love a face like that?

This picture is about a year old. It is of Owen and one of his cats. The hair color is natural. No one is his right mind would dye his hair that color, would he? I thought not. Owen's a pretty good boy, too. He does not like to be called "Mi Lindo" for some reason. I like to call him by that name.

This is Morgan on his first day of school as sent to my by his father, Bobby. Bobby says Morgan is all boy. He looks kind of mischievous, doesn't he? But he's a pretty good boy. 

Chenile robe, AGAIN

We keep trying to get Betty to get rid of her old raggedy threadbare robe so I got her chenile robe to see if that would finally make her throw it away. So far, the answer is NO.

Jennie Lane gets new clothes for Christmas

Jennie is seen as she gets ready to take a bite out of her new Christmas clothes. She'll probably get more into wearing clothing as she gets older but now everything is for chewing. 

Nelson called

Nelson called as we were getting ready to eat our Christmas dinner. Everyone got a chane to talk to him. Barry is seen enjoying his conversation at the dinner table. 

Christmas dinner is Ready

This is Betty's way of saying dinner is served, come and get it. It was Christmas Day and Kristen, Barry and Jennie were ready to eat as was I. 

I think I got it figured out

I think I got it figured out on how to post a new entry in the daily log. Let us see if this works. Anyone who happens to read this, please excuse my ignorance.

Not everyone can wear such a fine article of clothing.

Barry thought he would try his hand a wearing a professional chickenman's hat. But, as you can see, not everyone can pull it off (Get it? Pullet). You have to give the boy credit, though. He ain't afraid to look foolish.
